The deliberately fractured planes and multiple perspectives allow musical instruments—representing performance and harmony—to become seamlessly entwined with an artist’s palette and brushes, symbolizing creation and visual expression. This stylistic choice is intentional, mirroring the way diverse cultural threads and individual creative voices converge to form West Chicago's vibrant and multi-faceted identity.
Christine Cintula
Christine Cintula is an artist and educator based in West Chicago, Illinois, whose work explores the intersection of natural beauty and personal narrative. With over 16 years of experience as an art teacher, she currently serves as an instructor at Leman Middle School. Her practice is deeply rooted in community engagement, having previously served as an instructor for the Chicago Art Partnership in Education (CAPE), where she led arts-integrated programs for both students and community members.
Christine’s diverse portfolio spans from evocative cityscapes of Chicago to intimate representational portraits. Her work has received notable recognition, including an honorable mention from the Naperville Art League for the painting Cityscape and a feature in The Artists Magazine for the dog portrait Champagne. A current member of Water Street Studios in Batavia, Illinois, Cintula frequently exhibits work that utilizes visual collage to map a unique personal history alongside broader explorations of the natural world.
